THE COMPANY
This innovative event technology company is revolutionizing how major global events manage accreditation, access control, and security. They create seamless check-in and tracking systems that power some of the world’s most iconic sporting and entertainment experiences. In this role, your work will have a direct impact on high-profile live events, enhancing efficiency, safety, and on-the-ground operations.
THE ROLE
As a Software Application Engineer, you will play a key role in developing custom software solutions for live events, blending hands-on coding with direct client collaboration. From backstage access at international tournaments to custom credential portals for music festivals, your work will be at the heart of real-time operations.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:
* Building responsive web portals and user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
* Working with React, Node.js, and TypeScript to develop and customize systems
* Collaborating with product managers to translate client needs into tailored software solutions
* Rapid prototyping and testing of systems and features
* Supporting live sports and entertainment events.
Accompanying the technical aspects of the role, you’ll be travelling with the team to meet the clients onsite, approximately 25% annually to support major events and system rollouts, with all expenses covered.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful Software Application Engineer will have the following skills and experience:
* 2–3 years of hands-on software development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Node.js, React, AWS)
* Customer-facing communication skills and comfort working directly with clients
* Creative, adaptable, and comfortable with fast-paced, real-world deployments
* Experience or interest in live events, sports, or entertainment is a strong plus
* Willingness and enthusiasm to travel (1–2 weeks at a time, including internationally)
* A strong passport given travel requirements.
