Attendance Officer
Are you passionate about ensuring every student maximises their potential through consistent attendance? As an Attendance Officer, you will be crucial in implementing whole‑school strategies designed to improve attendance levels and actively reduce persistent absence. This role blends operational duties – such as conducting home visits and late gate patrols – with essential administrative support, requiring resilient engagement with students and parents to address attendance barriers.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement whole‑school attendance strategies to improve attendance levels and reduce persistent absence.
* Conduct home visits and late gate patrols.
* Provide strategic, operational and administrative support to promote attendance strategies.
* Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and ensure school compliance with Safeguarding procedures and requirements.
* Serve as a liaison point between a range of agencies and the academy.
Ideal Candidate
* Qualified and experienced, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Emotionally resilient and able to communicate effectively with visitors, staff and students.
* Excellent time‑management, organisation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
* Experienced in a school environment or in an attendance-related role; experience with CMIS or SIMS software is desirable.
* Strong ability to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
* A suitable DBS check is mandatory.
Working Pattern
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time plus 5 days.

June/July 2026.
