Role Description
The Salesforce Lead Solution Architect (SA) designs and manages Salesforce solution engineering. The SA leads the practice, introducing the overall technical vision for Salesforce. They collaborate with stakeholders, leadership, and subject matter experts to develop a holistic view of the Salesforce strategy and architectural roadmap, ensuring alignment between business and IT.
Core Duties
* Understand existing Salesforce configurations and code to support business processes and policies.
* Ensure development follows defined Salesforce CRM architecture and enterprise standards, balancing functionality, quality, security, and system management requirements.
* Own release management, source control, and deployment processes.
* Manage Salesforce strategies and risks related to maintenance, data, integrations, and security.
* Oversee work performed by Salesforce developers, admins, and testers.
* Drive innovation by creating and promoting reusable components, tools, accelerators, and AppExchange solutions, encouraging team adoption.
* Evaluate technology trade-offs and feasibility, making project-appropriate decisions.
* Communicate concepts, architectures, and solutions effectively through diagrams, documentation, and meetings to support stakeholder understanding and decision-making.
* Recommend alternative approaches, define technical impacts, and provide high-level estimates.
* Collaborate with business analysts to ensure Salesforce solutions meet business requirements.
* Provide Salesforce training and share knowledge across teams.
Subject Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
* Hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative programming and administrative features.
* Proficiency with Salesforce coding languages (APEX, Triggers, Batch Apex, LWC).
* Experience in data modeling.
* Knowledge of managing CI/CD processes.
* Extensive knowledge of Salesforce, Sales Cloud, and sales processes.
* Understanding of Service Cloud and third-party integration tools is beneficial.
* Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
* Strategic thinking and resilience under pressure.
* Experience in team management and fostering team environments.
* Ability to drive process change.
* Experience in similar roles or environments.
* Relevant vocational qualifications or equivalent experience in Agile methodologies.
* Salesforce certifications are advantageous.
