Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a nursing, residential or supported living service, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with daily activities, maintaining their dignity and independence while fostering a positive environment.
Requirements
Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities including meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the supervising staff. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Support clients to appointments or social activities as required. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the home or care setting. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance caregiving skills.
Qualifications Previous experience minimum of 6 months experience in a care home setting Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively. Basic IT skills for documentation purposes. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs.
