We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million people, and 2.2 million including regional and national services.
The shift pattern for this role is Monday to Friday with on-call duties at a ratio of 1:10.
The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital's Orthopaedic Department includes 38 Consultants with special interests in Hip, Knee, Upper Limb, Foot and Ankle, Pelvis, Limb Reconstruction, Brachial Plexus, and Spine. The Consultant will provide inpatient services at QEUH, with outpatient services at West Glasgow ACH, and day surgery at Gartnavel General and New Victoria Hospitals. Consultants work in teams of three to provide general trauma coverage.
The applicant is expected to participate in the trauma rota. Besides clinical duties, administrative responsibilities are also part of the role.
