Area Director – Healthcare Ireland
The Area Director is a critical operational leadership role responsible for the performance, quality and commercial delivery of a cluster of Healthcare Ireland care homes within a defined geographic area.
Reporting to the Regional Director, the postholder provides direct line management to Home Managers, coaching and supporting them to lead their homes effectively and deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
This field‑based role sits at the heart of Healthcare Ireland's operational structure. The Area Director is the primary point of accountability for everything that happens across their homes – from care quality and regulatory compliance to occupancy, financial performance, staffing and resident and family experience.
Working closely with Regional Support Managers and drawing on the expertise of central support functions, the postholder ensures their homes consistently deliver to the high standards Healthcare Ireland is committed to.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a cluster of care homes, ensuring high performance, quality and commercial delivery.
* Provide direct line management to Home Managers, coaching and supporting them to deliver safe, person‑centred care.
* Act as the primary accountability point for care quality, regulatory compliance, occupancy, financial performance, staffing and resident/family experience across all homes.
* Work with Regional Support Managers and central support functions to maintain high standards of care and operational efficiency.
