About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced podiatrist to join our Health in Justice (HiJ) Musculoskeletal (MSK) team on a part‑time basis at HMP Sudbury, Derbyshire. The role requires two sessions per month, totaling eight hours. There is no on‑call or weekend work, allowing a strong work‑life balance.
Salary is between £40,000 and £49,000 pro‑rata, depending on experience.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a podiatrist, you will provide evidence‑based care, advanced assessment and treatment for patients with complex or chronic presentations. Your responsibilities will include:
* Self‑directed assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
* Assessment and treatment of diabetic patients, wound management, MSK pathologies and nail surgery.
* Maintaining accurate clinical records.
* Delivering non‑judgemental care and building therapeutic relationships.
* Participating in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
* Motivating the wider team and identifying patients at high risk.
* Managing your own caseload and waiting list as an autonomous practitioner.
What We’ll Look for in You
* HCPC registration with proven post‑registration experience.
* Experience in assessing and treating:
o Diabetic patients
o Wound management
o MSK pathologies
o Nail surgery
* Self‑motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Evidence of CPD and work within an MSK speciality.
* A non‑judgemental and compassionate approach.
* Excellent IT skills in MS Word and Outlook.
* Experience of electronic notes systems is desirable but not essential.
