Behaviour Mentor – SEND & SEMH Schools (Birmingham) Location: Birmingham (B12, B25, B5) Type: Full-Time / Long-Term Salary: £85–£95 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications) Start Date: Immediate The School and Role ABC Teachers are seeking a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to work across SEND and SEMH schools in Birmingham, supporting pupils who present with challenging behaviour, emotional regulation difficulties and social needs. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping them develop coping strategies, positive behaviour patterns and engagement with learning. This role focuses heavily on relationship-building, consistency and positive intervention rather than traditional classroom delivery. This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in youth work, care, mentoring, SEMH support or alternative provision. Key Responsibilities Provide targeted behaviour and emotional support Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils Support emotional regulation and behaviour strategies Work alongside teaching staff to support engagement Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times As a Behaviour Mentor with ABC Teachers, You Will Receive: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
