Paediatric Clinical Lead
Location: Covering Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, London, Surrey, Kent, Sussex and Hampshire
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid with regional travel
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Contract: Full time, permanent
We are recruiting a Paediatric Clinical Lead to join a well established, nurse led community complex care provider delivering specialist packages to children with high acuity needs across the South East and East of England.
This is a senior clinical leadership opportunity focused primarily on paediatric community packages, offering regional exposure and structured progression within a growing organisation.
The Role As Paediatric Clinical Lead, you will take ownership of clinical governance and oversight across multiple community based paediatric packages. You will ensure safe mobilisation, workforce competency and consistently high clinical standards across services.
You will work closely with families, case managers, ICBs and multidisciplinary teams to stabilise and develop complex care packages.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical oversight of paediatric complex care packages in the community
Completion of comprehensive assessments, care plans and structured clinical reviews
Safe mobilisation of new high acuity packages
Delivery of clinical training and competency sign off for nurses and healthcare assistants
Ongoing governance of tracheostomy, ventilation and advanced clinical interventions
Liaison with families, MDTs and commissioners
Safeguarding escalation and risk management
Participation in audits and quality improvement initiatives
Supporting outcome focused care and dependency reduction where appropriate
Clinical Experience Required
Registered Children’s Nurse (RSCN or RN Child) with active NMC PIN
Minimum 3 years’ UK paediatric experience within complex or community care
Recent hands on experience with tracheostomy and ventilation within the last 2 years
Leadership, senior nurse or supervisory experience
Experience working alongside case managers, commissioners or ICB teams
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally
