The opportunity:
An amazing opportunity has becomeavailableto join our homes team as a Neighbourhood Income Officer, and we are on the search of the right candidate to join the team who will play an important role in our success.

We are looking for people who take the initiative, are organised, and can manage their own workload.Your attitude and approach to problem solving will make you successful in this role. You will be responsible for your own caseload, setting affordable customer payment arrangements and offering advice and support and referring customers onto relevant partners who can provide assistance as needed. Early intervention is our primary focus, alongside other Income Officers, you will lead and develop the service for the benefit of our customers.
What we need from you:
1. Experience in a front-line customer-facing role within a housing environment, or a similar background relevant to income collection.
2. An understanding of housing benefit, universal credit, and welfare reform legislation.
3. Effective communication skills, with colleagues and customers alike, in an engaging and welcoming way.
4. Ideally have knowledge of the legal system as you will be required to coordinate and undertake the timely preparation of all court documents i.e. the court process as the role includes representation at court and the PCOL system.
5. A willingness to find a solution for customer's individual needs, including effectively negotiating repayment arrangements to ensure a payment first culture with positive outcomes.
6. A willingness to work collaboratively across the business and with Lincs partners, i.e. Local Authorities, Welsh Government, third sector etc to ensure best practice and continuous improvement is adhered too.
7. Good IT skills and ideally experience of using Dynamics .
8. Attention to detail, and an excellent work ethic
9. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
