We are currently recruiting for a Retail Development Manager to join our Booker and Makro Wholesale division.
This is no ordinary sales role. Alongside the General Manager, you will work with our Premier symbol operators and independent retailers to build relationships and trust, which will help grow and develop their businesses.
This role requires a 5-day work week, which may include occasional weekends and bank holidays.
You will be responsible for new business growth in your region by recruiting competitor stores and identifying new store opportunities for existing retailers.
The purpose of this position is to manage a defined territory with responsibilities including sales, debt, margin, cash profit, and customer satisfaction. There is a particular emphasis on sales growth.
To succeed, your skills should include:
* The ability to adapt to different people and situations, working to a routine but remaining flexible.
* A solution-focused sales approach, with a natural problem-solving ability and resilience to handle difficult conversations.
* Knowledge of the local area and the social and economic factors affecting it.
* Willingness to travel frequently.
