The Opportunity

Were looking for an experienced and commercially minded Venue Finding Manager to join our team in Salford Quays.


This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in venue finding, venue sales, hotel sales, or agency venue sourcing who thrives on matching clients with the perfect venue while securing the very best value.


You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and managing venues for a wide variety of events across the UK and internationally. Working closely with our clients and event management team, youll play a key role in delivering exceptional event experiences while ensuring commercial value and operational excellence.


While venue sourcing will be your primary focus, youll also support the wider event management team where required, contributing to the planning and delivery of events and helping ensure seamless client experiences from enquiry through to event delivery.

What Youll Be Doing

* Lead venue sourcing projects for conferences, meetings, exhibitions, incentive programmes, and corporate events.
* Research, identify, and recommend suitable venues across the UK and globally based on client requirements and event objectives.
* Develop venue proposals and presentations that align with client briefs, budgets, and event goals.
* Negotiate rates, contract terms, concessions, and added value to achieve the best commercial outcomes for clients.
* Manage venue enquiries, RFPs, contracts, and confirmations from initial brief through to booking.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with hotels, venues, destination management companies, and industry suppliers.
* Conduct venue visits and stay up to date with new openings, refurbishments, and industry developments.
* Represent the organisation at industry conferences, networking functions, and professional events to maintain awareness of emerging trends and opportunities.
* Provide venue expertise and strategic recommendations to clients and internal teams.
* Support the events team with venue logistics, rooming lists, accommodation management, and venue-related event delivery requirements.
* Assist with wider event management activities where required, including delegate management, supplier liaison, event administration, and on-site support.
* Maintain accurate records, reporting, and supplier information within company systems.
* Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver exceptional client service and event experiences.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of venue sourcing processes and supplier networks.


What Were Looking For

* Minimum 3 years experience in venue finding, venue sourcing, hotel sales, venue sales, conference services, or event agency environments.
* Strong knowledge of UK venues and destinations, with experience sourcing international venues highly desirable.
* Proven ability to negotiate commercial agreements and secure best-value outcomes for clients.
* Experience managing multiple venue enquiries and projects simultaneously.
* Excellent understanding of venue contracts, terms and conditions, and risk considerations.
* Commercially astute with strong budget awareness and attention to detail.
* Confident and professional client-facing communicator.
* Strong relationship-building skills with suppliers, venues, and clients.
* Highly organised with excellent project management and administrative skills.
* A collaborative team player willing to support broader event management activities when required.
* Experience within an events agency, venue finding agency, hotel group, venue sales team or conference bureau.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Full driving licence and own transport preferred.
* Willingness to travel for venue visits, client meetings, and events.
