Environment Technical Advisor / Conventional Environment AssessorThe OpportunityAt Rolls-Royce SMR, we’re shaping the future of clean energy. We’re looking for an Environment Technical Specialist / Conventional Environment Assessor to help us design and deliver a next-generation nuclear technology that protects both people and the environment.We need you to play a key role in developing our integrated Environment, Safety, Security and Safeguards (E3S) case—ensuring our designs meet the highest environmental standards and represent Best Available Techniques (BAT).What you’ll be doingWe need you to:Lead and contribute to environmental assessments that support design justification and regulatory submissionsSupport the development of BAT cases for design and site-specific variationsWork closely with engineering teams to ensure environmental considerations are embedded in design decisionsParticipate in optioneering and HAZOP workshops to influence safe and sustainable design outcomesProvide expert advice on environmental protection and regulatory requirementsRepresent the project in technical reviews and engage with external stakeholders, including regulatorsSupport training and capability development across environmental topicsWhat we’re looking forWe know there’s no perfect candidate.
