We’re excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to join a brand-new children’s home in Littlehampton. This pioneering service will provide a safe, nurturing, and homely environment for up to three children aged 10–18 who are facing emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Your Role
As a Support Worker, you’ll play a central role in each child’s development and day-to-day care. Your responsibilities will include:
* Building strong, trusting, and supportive relationships
* Developing and implementing individual, strength-based care plans
* Advocating for each child and ensuring their voice is heard
* Supporting them in education, training, or work placements
* Encouraging and participating in hobbies and leisure activities
* Promoting emotional well-being through therapeutic, trauma-informed approaches
* Managing health appointments and liaising with external professionals
* Maintaining a safe, secure, and family-style home environment
* Ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping
* Acting as a positive role model in both behaviour and conduct
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone who brings:
* Compassion and empathy with a warm, non-judgmental approach
* Strong safeguarding knowledge and a commitment to child protection
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
* Understanding of developmental trauma and its impact on behaviour
* Confidence in behaviour management and the ability to de-escalate situations
* Minimum two years of experience working within a challenging behaviour setting.
