Your Role:
Produce Creative Designs: As a designer, your primary responsibility is to create innovative and appealing designs that align with the latest trends in Womenswear fashion. This involves staying updated on emerging trends in colours, shapes, and styles.
Trend Prediction: You'll need to have a keen eye for trends and be able to predict upcoming shifts in the market. This requires research, trend analysis, and a deep understanding of consumer preferences.
Travel and Collaboration: To stay inspired and source materials, you'll likely travel to various locations. This could involve visiting trade shows, meeting with fabric suppliers, and collaborating with partners in different territories.
Time Management and Critical Path Control: Juggling multiple tasks and deadlines is crucial in this role. You'll need strong organisational skills to manage your own critical path effectively, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
Overall, this role requires a blend of creativity, trend forecasting and effective communication skills to bring innovative Womenswear Knitwear designs to life!
About You:
Vision for Designing Ranges and Knitwear Design Experience: Utilise your creative vision and knitwear design experience to conceptualise and develop compelling product ranges & stay updated on emerging trends in knitwear design and fashion to ensure your ranges are innovative and relevant.
Identifying and Proposing New Product Opportunities: Proactively seek out new product opportunities by analysing market trends, consumer needs, and competitor offerings. Present well-researched proposals for new product lines or innovations that align with company objectives and target market preferences.
Commercial Awareness and Understanding of Design and Trends: Combine your design creativity with a strong understanding of commercial considerations such as pricing, margin, and market positioning. Ensure that your design concepts are not only aesthetically pleasing but also commercially viable and aligned with business goals. Stay informed about industry trends, consumer behaviour, and market dynamics to anticipate market demands and stay ahead of the competition.
Exceptional Communication Skills and Relationship Building: Effectively communicate your design concepts and ideas to internal product teams, external suppliers, and other stakeholders. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and synergy across product development, marketing, and sales. Build strong and productive relationships with external suppliers, fostering collaboration and partnership to bring your design concepts to fruition.
Competency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator: Utilise Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create detailed design sketches, technical drawings, and digital prototypes. Leverage these software tools to communicate your design concepts visually and effectively collaborate with other team members and external partners.
