Join Our Team as a Service and Maintenance Engineer!

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? At Finning (UK) Ltd, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic Power Rental team. You will play a crucial role in delivering electric power solutions across the UK and Ireland, ensuring our rental equipment is always in top-notch condition for our valued customers.

Your Responsibilities

In this exciting role, you will:

* Inspect, service, and maintain rental equipment according to maintenance schedules.
* Complete the ready-to-rent tasks and document inspections using the CAT inspection application.
* Set up rental equipment based on customer requirements and project specifications.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and safely.
* Lead site installations, including the synchronization of multiple generators.
* Perform in-depth repairs on rental equipment.
* Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.


What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

* Apprenticeship trained, NVQ Level 3 (Mechanical or Electronic) or equivalent.
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the rental energy sector or a similar role.
* Strong analytical and communication skills to convey complex technical issues simply.
* A customer-focused mindset and a flexible approach to a 24/7 business environment.
* A valid driver’s license and a proven track record in maintenance and diagnostics.


Working Conditions

This is a field-based role, requiring a full driving license held for at least 2 years. You will be part of a supportive team of over 40 Mental Health first aiders, ensuring a positive work environment.
