Job Purpose To carry out the testing of umbilical products as required. Participate in activities associated with Health, Safety and the Environment. Always adhere to relevant group policy initiatives. Assembly and recording of umbilical test samples and umbilical components including hose, cable and fibre optic samples prior to test. Setup of test equipment and test rigs, including development and improvement implementation where required. Test and report findings of umbilical components, including hose, electric and fibre optic cables utilising appropriate equipment and procedures. Preparation and Termination of umbilical qualification samples. Install, instrumentation and calibrate umbilical samples in appropriate equipment. Test, monitor and report finding of umbilical samples utilising appropriate equipment, instrumentation and procedures. Development of bespoke testing apparatus to suit testing requirements. To keep good house keeping and participate in S5 principles and activities. You are meant for this job if: ONC or equivalent. Interest in general mechanical or electrical engineering. Mechanical design knowledge (desirable). IT and basic data analysis skills in Microsoft excel or similar (desirable).
