Employer Engagement Consultant - Support To Succeed
The Growth Company’s (GC) Employment team has an exciting opportunity for an Employer Engagement Consultant on our Support to Succeed programme. The role involves providing quality recruitment services to The Work Company’s customers and employers.
We aim to make a lasting difference to people's lives across the North of England and beyond by supporting individuals to gain meaningful employment.
Our skilled advisers and keyworkers work with individuals facing various barriers, including physical disabilities, mental health issues, and debt.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement activities to generate leads and create opportunities to sell products and services to employers, placement hosts, and VCSEs.
2. Build and maintain relationships with colleagues to increase referrals.
3. Identify recruitment and workforce development needs of engaged employers, placement hosts, and VCSEs, and sell appropriate services to maximize income.
4. Foster ongoing relationships with previous clients to encourage repeat business and uptake of new services.
5. Source suitable vacancies for The Work Company’s customers.
6. Meet with customers regularly to understand their needs and vacancies.
7. Advertise vacancies clearly internally and externally where appropriate.
8. Gather employer feedback and share it with relevant teams.
9. Understand the Group’s product range thoroughly and make referrals to the product teams to meet monthly targets.
About You:
* Approachable and friendly to build rapport.
* Good knowledge of the local labour market and growth industries.
* Understanding of welfare to work and the customer base.
* Ability to meet challenging targets and KPIs.
* Flexible, willing to travel, and work occasional unsocial hours.
* Strong IT skills, including experience with management information systems, spreadsheets, and email.
Skills Required:
* Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
* Previous sales experience, especially in securing vacancies and job starts.
* Ability to contact decision makers, identify opportunities, and close contracts.
* Knowledge of recruitment and training services.
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
* Excellent networking and communication skills, both written and oral.
