About The Role

You will undertake project management activities for projects across the project lifecycle, including preparing bids and post‑project support, and may also provide project and bid support on more complex projects. The Project Manager will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role allows for flexible working. The salary for this role is up to £64k, depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing
* Plan, schedule and manage projects, tasks and work packages, taking responsibility for outcomes, budget, quality and timescales.
* Allocate and manage tasks with project delivery teams, holding regular meetings to track progress, which may include customers and subcontractors.
* Identify, manage and track project risks and opportunities, maintain registers of Customer Furnished Equipment/Information and customer dependencies, and ensure project documentation is correctly configuration controlled.

The skills you need
* APM PMQ qualification, or equivalent
* Proven project management experience delivering complex design & development projects through all phases of the engineering lifecycle
* Excellent knowledge and application of project controls in complex projects
* Experience working in defence, aerospace or within a similar engineering environment (desirable)
* An excellent communicator able to demonstrate effective change and conflict management with highly developed influencing skills
* Hands‑on experience of working with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, risk registers, etc., including the ability to use advanced features when necessary
* Strong problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive approach to achieving results
