Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk's responsibilities include:
* Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding and data entry into the accounting system.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
* Prepare and process payment runs in accordance with company policies.
* Communicate effectively with suppliers to address queries and provide payment updates.
* Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and update internal systems as required.
* Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reporting and reconciliations.
* Support the Accounting & Finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks and projects.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies at all times.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
* Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance-related role.
* A strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
* Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
