Job Purpose:
The Sales Development Representative will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth by identifying and qualifying leads, engaging with potential clients, and effectively communicating the value of our Customs Declaration services. The SDR is the first face of the company when engaging with prospects and should create an excellent first impression to ensure we continue to win business and excel at servicing our customers.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities:
* Lead Generation: Conduct research to identify potential clients within the target market, utilising various channels such as online platforms, industry events, and networking.
* Prospecting: Reach out to prospects through calls, emails and social media to generate interest in EORI UK`s Customs Declaration services and products.
* Qualification: Assess the needs and requirements of potential customers to determine if our services align with their business goals.
* Advice: Provide entry level advice to inbound and outbound prospects about the benefits of using a customs intermediary and what the process involves.
* CRM Management: Utilise HubSpot CRM to track and manage leads, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely follow-ups.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to transfer qualified leads and contribute to the overall sales strategy.
* Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and changes in customs procedures to effectively communicate the value proposition of EORI UK`s services.
* Operations Awareness: Stay informed as to internal operations practice and procedures to make sure you maintain a good level of awareness of business operations.
* Reporting: Provide regular reports on lead generation activities, conversion rates, and any other key performance indicators.
Skills & Qualifications:
* 1 year of previous experience in a sales environment.
* Experience working in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage and Declaration processes is a plus.
* Proficiency in using CRM systems.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
* Quick decision-making skills.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Ability to multitask.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
* A proactive, positive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
* Ability to speak a second European language would be a plus but not a must.
