About the Role
As Deputy Head of Mathematics, you will play a crucial role in supporting the department's success. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting the Head of Department in leading and managing the team
* Contributing to the development and implementation of a comprehensive Maths curriculum
* Supporting and mentoring Mathematics teachers
* Monitoring and evaluating student progress and departmental performance
* Contributing to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students
Qualifications and Experience
* A recognized teaching qualification (QTS or PGCE)
* Strong academic background in Mathematics
* Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching Maths at secondary level
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Passion for mathematics education and inspiring students
