We are currently working with a well‑established, multi‑sector main contractor based in the North West who are looking to add a Junior Estimator to their team.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Junior Estimator looking to develop further within a supportive and professional environment. The role plays a key part in supporting the tendering process and helping to secure projects that are the right fit for the business.
You’ll be involved in preparing accurate and competitive costings, working closely with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure tenders are well‑planned and commercially sound.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing detailed estimates using drawings, specifications and site information
Assisting with tender submissions, including labour, material and subcontractor costs
Using estimating software (experience with Conquest would be beneficial)
Supporting the day‑to‑day administration of the estimating department
Attending site visits and meetings where required
Obtaining, reviewing and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
Identifying cost risks and suggesting practical, cost‑effective solutions
Maintaining accurate and organised tender documentation
Working closely with colleagues to ensure budgets are achievedAbout You
Previous experience working in an estimating role within the construction industry
Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident pricing tenders typically ranging from £500k to £1m
A good understanding of subcontractor and supplier pricing
Able to build strong working relationships with both internal teams and external partners
Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
