We’re currently seeking a skilled HD Mechanic to join a reputable organisation in Melbourne, specialising in pre-delivery services for buses and heavy vehicles, Sponsorship can be provided. This role focuses more on bodywork than servicing and repairs, offering the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical components of buses and heavy vehicles.
* Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure operational safety and performance.
* Diagnose faults in engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, and hydraulic systems.
* Overhaul mechanical components including engines and drivetrains.
* Conduct system tests and make adjustments for optimal performance.
* Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
* Adhere to all safety and compliance standards.
Key Requirements:
* Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (preferred).
* Minimum of three years’ relevant experience.
* Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
