New Directions Education are currently recruiting Classroom Support Assistants to work in primary schools across Chester and the surrounding areas. These roles offer an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a school environment while supporting pupils in their learning and development.
Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.
Job Description:
We are seeking reliable and dedicated Classroom Support Assistants to support teachers and pupils in primary school classrooms. The role involves working alongside teaching staff to support learning activities, assisting pupils individually or in small groups, and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
You may also support pupils with additional learning needs, assist with classroom tasks and activities, and help children develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours throughout the school day.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Have experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
• Be supportive, adaptable, and approachable
• Work well as part of a classroom team
• Support pupils with learning, behaviour, and wellbeing
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding practices
• Demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards supporting young learners
• Hold a full driving UK licence and have access to transport (desirable)
