(Qualified Support Worker salary is based on the proven existing completion of a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent)
Specific Hours: 20:00pm - 8:00am (12-hour shifts)

We are looking for a passionate Waking Night Support Worker to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will:
* Stay awake and alert throughout the night shift
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of each child
* Provide empathy and reassurance when young people need support
* Assist with personalized bedtime routines and occasional activities
* Accurately record information using our computer systems
* Follow the Philomena protocol in case of a missing child
* Communicate effectively with out-of-hours services
* Act as a positive role model and adhere to Area Camden policies
* Adapt to the changing needs of the children and contribute to the home's values
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills:
* Team player with energy and enthusiasm
* Experience and knowledge of safeguarding children
* Ability to follow delegated tasks and provide detailed handovers
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to engage with and listen to children, taking action when necessary
* Organizational skills and the ability to plan and prepare work
* Willingness to work towards a relevant qualification if not already held
* Commitment to undertake a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
