This is a really varied role where no day is ever the same.
You will support the children with everything they might need, from personal care to their home environment.
Responsibilities include cooking, cleaning, driving children to school, helping with homework, managing medication, and attending health appointments. You will be available for the children 24/7.
Working as part of a team, you will collaboratively update care plans, complete risk assessments, and ensure thorough handovers to maintain consistent care. You will also help plan events, activities, and holidays, tailoring experiences to each child's needs and interests.
Our children can sometimes become dysregulated. We provide training in de-escalation and behaviour management techniques such as Team Teach. We support your professional development, including undertaking a Level 4 diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce and in-house therapeutic training.
Mandatory training includes safeguarding, first aid, food hygiene, GDPR, and health & safety to ensure you are well-grounded in your role.
Our management team supports you through debriefs, supervision, and regular reflection to foster a supportive environment.
In addition to salary, you will earn £80 per sleep-in, potentially totaling an extra £4,800 annually based on five sleep-ins per month. We also offer a performance-related annual bonus based on objectives related to positive outcomes for the children.
