Business Services Accountant - Corporate & Not-for-Profit
Established Top 30 firm is looking for an experienced newly qualified accountant to join theur Business Services Team, supporting corporate and not-for-profit clients with high-quality accounting and cloud advisory services.
What You'll Do
Support managers in managing an expanding client portfolio while handling the full range of accounting tasks for both commercial businesses and charitable organisations, ensuring all work complies with firm and statutory requirements. Independently plan, execute, and deliver client-ready outputs with minimal supervision.
Examine and verify management accounts, statutory accounts, and VAT returns for diverse clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm standards and statutory regulations.
Implement and support cloud accounting solutions (QuickBooks, Xero) for clients.
Mentor, guide, and review the work of trainees and junior team members, delivering training and constructive feedback.
Advise clients on improvements to accounting systems and internal controls .
Take ownership of assignments, keeping projects on time and within budget .
Contribute to process improvements and support team efficiency initiatives.
About You
ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 3/4 years' practice experience.
A-levels, AAT or equivalent with strong grades in GCSE Maths and English.
Strong client-facing experience
Skilled in reviewing statutory and management accounts and VAT returns.
Confident mentoring and supporting junior staff.
Excellent communicator with knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS102
Self-motivated, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Willing to participate in networking and business development initiatives.
Experience delivering or operating cloud accounting solutions.
