Jark Cambridge are representing a well-established and growing mechanical services contractor based in Colchester, delivering high-quality commercial and industrial projects across the region. With a strong pipeline of work and projects valued up to £2 million, they’re looking to expand their team with an experienced and motivated Mechanical Estimator.
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a wide range of mechanical projects. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure successful project bids and continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities
•Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical projects up to £2million.
•Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
•Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
•Producing take-offs and bills of quantities.
•Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and senior management.
•Identifying value engineering opportunities.
•Managing multiple tenders simultaneously within deadlines.
Requirements
•Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within commercial and/or industrial sectors.
•Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and building services.
•Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
•Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
•Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
•Strong communication and organisational skills.
•A proactive and team-oriented approach.
