About the Role Dadzclub is seeking a dedicated, creative, and tenacious individual to take on the role of Dadzclub Coordinator in Southampton. This exciting and rewarding position will play a key role in supporting fathers and male caregivers in the local community, providing group activities, one-to-one support, and promoting the important role of dads in their children’s lives. Key Responsibilities Deliver a weekly Walk 'n' Talk group for dads Provide one-to-one support meetings and offer a triage service to assess individual needs, sign posting dads towards further support Facilitate a monthly games night Supervise the delivery of Dadzclub Stay & Play sessions across three Saturday morning locations Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers supporting the programme Represent Dadzclub at local events, networks, and professional forums Act as the main liaison for local professionals and services (e.g. Family Hubs) Collaborate with the wider Dadzclub and Parenting Network team Attend relevant training and development courses Maintain accurate records, tracking engagement, progress, and outcomes Manage a small budget, tracking spend via a mobile app Provide additional support as required by the Senior Coordinator Carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the role Person Specification The ideal candidate will: Be tenacious, creative, and confident working independently Communicate naturally and effectively with both adults and children Be comfortable engaging with families and professionals in varied settings Be a father, or have equivalent lived/professional experience supporting dads and families Be confident in planning and delivering fun, inclusive activities Act as a positive role model and advocate for dads Thrive in a small, passionate team environment Have a strong connection to and understanding of the Southampton community Be skilled in developing professional partnerships and relationships Uphold the highest standards in safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, and confidentiality Be available for Saturday mornings and occasional evening work Essential Requirements This role is open to male applicants only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010, due to the nature of the role and the needs of the individuals it supports Appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check Note This job description provides an overview of the role and its responsibilities but is not exhaustive.
