Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a leading industrial services and safety training provider to recruit a Training Manager.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced HSE or training professional to take full ownership of training quality, compliance, and operational performance across a specialist portfolio of safety-critical courses.
The Role
This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for the direction, delivery, and continuous improvement of industrial safety training operations.
You’ll oversee a broad training offering including confined space, working at height, CCNSG Safety Passport, and fall protection, ensuring all programmes are delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest standard.
Alongside quality and compliance, you’ll drive operational efficiency, team performance, and client satisfaction, playing a key role in maintaining the organisation’s reputation as a trusted training provider.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Quality Leadership
* Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality safety training programmes
* Standardise training frameworks and ensure consistency across all courses
* Monitor instructor performance and drive continuous improvement
* Ensure all content aligns with current legislation and industry best practice
Compliance & Governance
* Ensure full compliance with HSE legislation, awarding bodies, and internal standards
* Manage audits, accreditation requirements, and regulatory relationships
* Maintain accurate training records, certification processes, and documentation
Operations & Performance
* Oversee scheduling, resource planning, and training delivery efficiency
* Manage budgets and optimise cost-effective delivery models
* Ensure accurate invoicing, certification, and administrative processes
Leadership & Team Development
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of trainers and coordinators
* Promote a strong safety culture and high-performance environment
* Drive engagement, capability development, and continuous professional development
Client & Business Support
* Support business development through technical input and client engagement
* Contribute to proposals, training solutions, and client presentations
* Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
* Support marketing initiatives, workshops, and industry events
About You
We’re looking for a senior HSE or training professional with strong leadership capability and a passion for safety, compliance, and people development.
You will bring:
* Extensive knowledge of HSE legislation and industrial safety training standards
* Experience managing accredited training programmes and awarding body frameworks
* Strong leadership experience within a training, HSE, or operational environment
* Proven ability to drive quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* A commercial mindset with the ability to support business growth and client relationships
Key Experience & Qualifications
* Background in industrial, engineering, or high-risk environments
* Experience delivering or managing training such as confined space, working at height, or safety passport schemes
* Strong understanding of audit, compliance, and certification processes
* Relevant HSE or training qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH, instructional design, or equivalent)
* Experience working with accrediting bodies and regulatory frameworks
