Key Responsibilities
As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Shift/Floor Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager with responsibilities including:
* Customer Service
* Lead by example, prioritizing customer needs
* Ensure customer focus in all operations
* Accurate staff scheduling to meet demand
* Support operational efficiency
* Conduct regular store walks from the customer's perspective
People
* Encourage staff suggestions and address concerns
* Provide performance feedback, set goals, and offer support
* Create a positive team environment, ensuring dignity and respect for all employees
* Handle performance management in collaboration with HR
Driving Sales
* Understand sales trends, popular products, and peak times
* Ensure proper merchandising and stock levels
* Coach staff on upselling and suggestive selling
* Identify and implement improvements to enhance sales and operations
Operations
* Monitor KPIs such as sales, employee turnover, food safety, and health & safety standards
* Maintain composure under pressure
* Manage stock orders and quality control
* Schedule preventative maintenance for equipment
* Oversee inventory and opening/closing procedures
* Ensure cleanliness, food hygiene, and customer experience standards
* Follow health and safety protocols, reporting incidents promptly
* Work flexible shifts as part of the management team
Key Requisites
* Previous experience in restaurant management
* Flexible and disciplined work approach
* Experience in food environments is advantageous but not essential
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good numeracy and literacy skills
* High standards of food hygiene and safety
* Experience handling customer complaints
* Adherence to health and safety procedures
