JOB TITLE: Functional Integration Lead LOCATION: Hertfordshire SALARY RANGE: Very Competitive & Excellent Benefits Hybrid Working Model – 2/3 days in Office About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Integration and Systems Validation (ISV) team, focusing on missile compatibility and integration. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual eager to broaden their technical skills in a dynamic, high-performance environment. As a Functional Integration Lead, you will own the day-to-day technical delivery of functional integration and system verification activities for a programme or family of systems. You will support the Chief Systems Proving Engineer in delivering all compatibility, HWIL, and software integration activities required to integrate and test missile and munition equipment. This role involves interfacing with project customers and stakeholders to plan and achieve key design verification objectives, providing practical, hands-on input into integration and compatibility proving activities. You will be recognised as a senior technical lead within the programme, often mentoring a team of integration engineers and supporting skills development and knowledge sharing initiatives. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge, high-performance product and expand your technical expertise while collaborating with other areas of the client, including systems and software project teams. Key responsibilities: * Lead and own functional integration and system verification activities. * Support the delivery of missile and munition integration, compatibility, and testing activities. * Plan and coordinate with customers and stakeholders to achieve verification objectives. * Provide hands-on expertise in integration and proving activities when required. * Mentor and develop a small team of integration engineers, promoting knowledge sharing. * Contribute to technical innovation and practical problem-solving within a fast-paced environment. What You’ll Need: We are seeking high-performing, competent individuals who can demonstrate: * Degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline. * Solid understanding of hardware/software integration and testing activities. * Familiarity with general commercial lab test equipment and data analysis tools/methods. * Appreciation of electronics technologies and products is advantageous. * Creativity and practicality to tackle complex problems and derive logical solutions. * Adaptability and innovation in a varied, fast-paced role. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience managing a small team.
