Overview
This exciting opportunity to join our Respiratory Investigations team is part of the recruitment drive for the opening of the Peterborough Community Diagnostic Centre in October 2026. The role will be based largely at the CDC with some rotation through Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon.
Reporting to the team of Chief Respiratory Physiologists, you will perform and report a wide range of respiratory investigations with support from senior staff and in collaboration with the medical team where necessary. The team currently comprises ARTP & AHCS accredited clinical staff who provide testing and reporting services and offer guidance to clinicians and patients. You may support and deputise for the Chief Respiratory Physiologist as required.
In 2024 the Respiratory Investigations team performed over 14,000 diagnostics across the NWAFT footprint (Peterborough City Hospital, Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Doddington Community Hospital). The planned expansion to the Peterborough Community Diagnostic Centre in October 2026 will significantly increase throughput and improve patient experience and wait times.
