LET’S TELL YOU MORE We have two exciting opportunities within our Distribution Service Delivery Team to become a Distribution Operative! Working in this role, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Severn Trent’s Underground Water network. You’ll be tasked with the upkeep of our Clean Water Network and any required repairs of our Clean Water Main Assets, furthermore you will be conducting excavation within, public highway on Severn Trent sites and private lands. You’ll put the needs of our customers first, responding to and resolving any issues raised by our customers or members of the public. Your stake holder management skills will also be used to liaise with other departments and our contract partners. Within this role, every day is different, you’ll get to undertake the full range of duties involved in delivering an effective repair and maintenance service. Including but not limited to; the repair and replacement of existing water mains & ancillary assets, laying and also working on valves, washouts & meters. As our Distribution Operative, not only will you be operating machinery out on site, you’ll also be using up to date technology to help our back office with their data upkeep, so this really is a great opportunity to utilise and develop your skills all round! Within this role you will be part of a rolling 7 week shift pattern (24/7, 365). Furthermore this is an outdoor role, working in all weathers, so if you don’t mind being outside and love getting stuck right in, let me tell you more. WHAT WE'ER LOOKING FOR A full UK driving License is needed as you will be required to independently travel to depots/ bases. In this role you’ll be accountable for your own health & safety and have a duty of care to your colleagues & anyone affected by the work you do, for example general public / site personal. This is why bringing your experience of working safely and operating compliantly is a must have for this role.
