As a Health Care Assistant, you will work under the guidance of nursing staff to assist patients with their daily needs, ensuring care is delivered safely, respectfully, and in a person-centred manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
* Support mobility and safe movement of patients around the facility
* Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and respiration
* Encourage independence by helping with daily tasks
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider care team
* Provide emotional support and companionship
* Maintain cleanliness and safety in patient areas
* Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments
* Follow infection control procedures and safeguarding policies
* Accurately update patient records under supervision
* Support clinical tasks as trained and delegated
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum of6 months paid experiencein a care setting within the last 5 years
* NVQ Level 2or equivalent in Health & Social Care (preferred)
* A caring, empathetic, and patient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* High levels of reliability and professionalism
* Right to work in the UK
* NISCC registration
