Do you enjoy working directly with residents and making a real difference in their experience? Are you a confident communicator who can balance empathy with efficiency? Looking for a hybrid role where every day brings variety, responsibility, and meaningful interaction?
Robertson Bell are excited to be partnering with an innovative and community-driven organisation in Kent to recruit a Temporary Housing Officer (Service Charges) for an initial three-month contract. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a motivated team, combining resident engagement with service charge expertise in a varied and rewarding hybrid role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Be the key contact for residents, handling service charge queries with empathy and clarity — both remotely and through face-to-face events across the region.
2. Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure actions are up to date, referrals are tracked, and resident concerns are resolved efficiently.
3. Attend local events to strengthen tenant relationships, promote understanding, and represent the organisation’s values on the ground.
4. Review and interpret service charge data, helping both residents and internal teams better understand costs, changes, and processes.
Ideal Candidate:
5. Brings proven experience in housing, with a working knowledge of service charge processes — ideally within a social housing context.
6. A confident communicator with strong organisational skills and a natural ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues alike.
7. Comfortable working with numbers and data, with solid IT skills and attention to detail when reviewing charges or logging queries.
8. Holds a full UK driving licence and is happy to travel to resident engagement events across the local area.
