Job Summary
We are recruiting a Mixed Tax Manager in Godalming to provide advisory and compliance services to owner-managed businesses (OMBs) and family business clients. This role offers exposure to all stages of the business lifecycle, delivering bespoke tax advice across corporation tax, income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, VAT, and SDLT.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage delivery of holistic tax advice for OMBs and family business clients
* Prepare and review technical tax analysis, valuations, and HMRC submissions
* Advise on business reorganisations, share buy-backs, EMI/growth share schemes, and tax reliefs (EIS/SEIS)
* Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work for accuracy
* Support compliance work: corporation tax returns, annual computations, and technical queries
* Assist partners with client pitches and business development initiatives
About You
* ACA/ACCA and CTA/ATT qualified (or equivalent)
* Extensive experience advising owner-managed and family businesses
* Strong knowledge across UK taxes and accountancy principles
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Organised, proactive, and client-focused
* Experienced in mentoring and developing junior colleagues
* Ability to deliver work to agreed timescales and budgets
