Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
The availability windows for this role are:
* Mon 06:00 – 16:00
* Fri 06:00 – 16:00
* Sat 06:00 – 16:00
We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We support flexibility for our colleagues; if the times you’re available to work match closely but not exactly to the advertised times, we’d still love to hear from you.
About the role
As a Shift Leader, you work in a fast‑paced retail environment. You will take ownership of activities by coordinating a team to deliver, constantly looking for ways to improve service.
You will have great understanding of how your team is performing and be the expert in delivering practical actions for its improvement, taking a hands‑on approach. With your guidance, the area will remain a safe place to work and shop.
Key Responsibilities
* Co‑ordinate and deliver store activities.
* Provide on‑the‑job coaching and feedback to improve customer service.
* Ensure the store remains safe and shop‑friendly.
* Lead the team and manage change to deliver a positive customer and colleague experience.
* Support flexibility and adaptability in shift planning.
