Capital Theatres are looking for a creative and organised Talent Development Coordinator to help shape and deliver a dynamic talent development offer that positions the Studio Theatre as a leading incubator for new ideas, voices and collaborations.
About the role
This is a new post building on the success of our artist support programme over the last three years. Reporting to the Head of Creative Engagement, you will coordinate a programme of activity that nurtures emerging and established theatremakers, builds a strong and supportive artistic community, and contributes to the future of Scotland’s theatre sector.
You will design and deliver workshops, talks, residencies and events, manage open calls and support artists to develop new work from early ideas through to presentation. Alongside this, you’ll build relationships with artists and partners, ensuring activity is inclusive and accessible, and creating clear pathways for early career talent.
As a member of the wider Creative Engagement team you will also collaborate on our Creative Pathways programme for children and young people, and support activities across our wider Creative Engagement programme for audiences, participants and communities.
We’re looking for someone with experience in theatre or the performing arts, who brings strong organisational skills, creative thinking and a genuine commitment to supporting artists and communities. You’ll be collaborative, proactive and confident working with a wide range of people, with a clear understanding of the challenges faced by freelance artists and a passion for helping them create, connect and grow.
