Please note, this role will be based in Mark Lane, London OR Uxbridge, West London.

So, what’s the job?

1. You'll ensure execution of rate level indications and portfolio profitability exercises across various segments.
2. You'll support business stakeholders in the development and pricing of new products.
3. You'll promote the development and production of premium adequacy reports and provide budget loss ratio estimates.
4. You'll ensure best practices are followed, including appropriate risk loads for catastrophic risk, commissions, expenses, and profit loadings.
5. You'll perform peer reviews of actuarial work completed by other team members.
6. You'll collaborate with Finance, Business Stakeholders, and Data Analytics to ensure data used for pricing and monitoring is complete, accurate, and timely.
7. You'll support company planning processes as needed.
8. You'll ensure compliance with oversight and governance requirements from the wider organization.
9. You'll work closely with junior team members and non-actuarial colleagues to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration.
10. You'll comply with key regulatory, risk management, and audit procedures.

And what are we looking for?

11. You'll hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
12. You'll be a member, or actively pursuing membership, in the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or a local actuarial governing body.
13. You’ll have strong experience in pricing, with travel insurance desirable but not mandatory
14. You'll demonstrate strong proficiency in actuarial concepts and methodologies.
15. You'll be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of VBA, R, Python, or other programming languages preferred.
16. You'll communicate effectively with senior business stakeholders.
17. You'll manage tight deadlines and balance multiple projects with confidence and efficiency.
