Position: Teaching Assistant (TA) / Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Wisbech
Contract Type: Full-time, Short Term (January 2025 – February Half Term)
We are seeking a versatile and dedicated TA/HLTA to support an exceptional primary school in Wisbech. This dual-role position offers the opportunity to work across different year groups, making a meaningful impact in both a support and leadership capacity.
Responsibilities
Morning (8:30AM – 12PM)
* Assist Year 5/6 teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
* Support pupils individually or in small groups to enhance learning and development.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Afternoon (1PM – 3:30PM)
* Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons as a HLTA to cover teachers’ PPA time.
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
* Maintain classroom discipline and inspire students to achieve their potential.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a TA or HLTA, preferably across various year groups.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., HLTA status, TA qualifications, or equivalent experience).
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage with pupils effectively.
* A proactive and adaptable approach to working in both support and leadership roles.
* Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
