Overview
An exciting opportunity within the oncology dietetic team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. This role provides maternity cover for complex upper GI and head and neck cancer patients. The post involves working with inpatient, outpatient, face-to-face and telephone consultations, within radiotherapy, chemotherapy and palliative care settings. You will be part of the multidisciplinary team and provide nutritional support to a range of patients.
Responsibilities
* Develop the post including audit, projects and teaching to a variety of people.
* Deliver placements and contribute to student training, the dietetic apprenticeship, and placements for A, B and C.
* Provide nutritional support across inpatient, outpatient, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and palliative care settings as part of the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and experience
* Dietitian registered with the appropriate professional body (or equivalent as per NHS requirements).
* Experience in oncology dietetics or relevant clinical areas is desirable.
* Ability to work across a range of settings and to lead projects and teaching activities.
Department and training
The department is committed to student training and dietetic apprenticeships. You will be involved in delivering placements for A, B and C placements.
