We are currently recruiting SEN Tutors in Whiteley to provide tailored one-to-one tuition for children and young people requiring additional educational support. Position: SEN Tutor Location: Whiteley and surrounding areas Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities available The Opportunity This role involves supporting learners outside of mainstream classroom settings through engaging and personalised tuition sessions. You will work with students who may have a range of additional needs, helping them build confidence, develop key skills, and reconnect with learning. Tuition sessions may take place in students’ homes or local community venues. Main Responsibilities Plan and deliver personalised one-to-one learning sessions Support learners with needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and anxiety-related barriers to education Adapt resources and teaching methods to individual learning styles Encourage positive engagement and emotional wellbeing Build supportive and professional relationships with learners and families Track learner progress and adjust support where needed Ideal Candidate Previous experience supporting children or young people preferred Experience in tutoring, teaching, coaching, mentoring, care, or support work beneficial Excellent communication and organisational skills Calm, reliable, and flexible approach Understanding of safeguarding expectations and procedures Willingness to travel across Whiteley and nearby areas What TP Tutors Offers Flexible working arrangements Competitive hourly pay Access to ongoing CPD and training opportunities Dedicated consultant guidance and support The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young people’s educational journeys All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
