Role Overview: Engineering Documentation Coordinator
A new opportunity has arisen for a Commissioning Documentation Coordinator to become an integral part of a team delivering major technical infrastructure projects.
This position is focused on managing and organising all project-related technical documentation throughout the testing, commissioning, and handover stages. It involves ensuring that all records are accurate, compliant, secure, and easy to retrieve to support smooth project delivery.
The role also involves close coordination with project stakeholders, driving consistency in document management processes, and contributing to improvements in workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee Technical Records - Organise and maintain documentation, ensuring accurate naming conventions and proper workflow distribution.
* Compile Testing & Handover Packs - Assemble structured documentation packs to support testing phases and final project handovers.
* Follow Up on Outstanding Information - Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and project teams to obtain missing or delayed documentation.
* Encourage Effective Communication - Act as a link between internal teams and external parties to promote efficient document sharing.
* Enhance Review Processes - Implement clear review and approval procedures to ensure timely feedback and avoid duplication.
* Simplify Document Management - Develop practical systems that improve how documentation is tracked and controlled.
* Maintain Registers & Logs - Monitor all incoming and outgoing documentation and issue transmittals accurately.
* Ensure Compliance - Adhere to project standards for document storage, version control, and security
Requirements:
* Proven experience in document control or similar roles within a technical or engineering environment (Desirable)
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail (Essential)
* Familiarity with version control and compliance protocols (Desirable)
* Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders (Essential)
* Flexibility to split time between office and project site locations (Essential)
* UK Driving License
* Full Right to Work (No Sponsorship Required)
