Are you an experienced fundraiser with a passion for making a difference? This is an exciting time to join Mencap as we launch our new strategy and grow our ambitious fundraising team.
With the forthcoming launch of our new strategy, Mencap is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Trust and Statutory Fundraising Manager. This pivotal role involves aligning strategic priorities with donor engagement to secure long-term support and income. As part of the High Value Relationships team, you will work closely with the team lead to meet key objectives.
This is a full-time, permanent position (37.5 hours per week).
The role is based in London, with flexibility in work location and occasional travel to the London office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and submit high-quality, strategic proposals to secure multi-year, six- and seven-figure donations, tailored to funder priorities and KPIs.
2. Identify and research new philanthropic prospects, including trusts and foundations.
3. Maintain a robust pipeline of income from trusts, foundations, statutory bodies, and lottery funders.
4. Build and sustain multi-year funding relationships for income sustainability.
5. Enhance existing donor partnerships and proactively seek new funding opportunities.
6. Manage a portfolio of mid- to high-value donors, cultivating long-term relationships.
7. Create compelling proposals and stewardship plans aligned with Mencap’s strategic goals.
Required Skills
1. Strategic communicator with proven success in trust and statutory fundraising.
2. Experience in securing high-value gifts, ideally six figures or more.
3. Strong research and prospecting skills.
4. Ability to develop and maintain long-term donor relationships.
5. Collaborative team player contributing to wider fundraising strategies.
