Job Description
I'm working with a well-established, privately owned civil engineering contractor that continues to grow across its infrastructure and rail frameworks. Due to ongoing project awards, they're looking to appoint a capable Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.
This is a great opportunity to join a financially secure contractor with a strong pipeline of long-term work and a genuine focus on developing their people.
The Role
Reporting into a Senior or Lead Quantity Surveyor, you'll take commercial responsibility for live projects from early engagement through to final account. Typical duties will include:
* Commercial management of civil engineering / infrastructure projects
* Cost planning, forecasting and CVR reporting
* Contract administration, including variations and valuations
* Subcontractor procurement and account management
* Identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunity
* Working closely with project teams, clients and the supply chain
About You
* Degree, HND or HNC in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or rail
* Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge
* Confident communicator, able to engage with clients and internal teams
* Organised, analytical and comfortable managing multiple workstreams
Candidates working towards chartership (RICS / CICES or similar) will be viewed favourably.
