Data Solution Architect - Circa £110K - Hybrid working from London An established organisation is seeking a delivery-focused Data Solutions Architect to provide architectural leadership and guidance in the development of enterprise data solutions. The role involves contributing to strategic data initiatives such as enterprise data lakes, governance platforms, and asset data programmes. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including security, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture to ensure consistency and alignment across the data landscape. Key Responsibilities Data Design: Lead enterprise data design efforts. Support data modelling and recommend best practices and tools to meet business and technical objectives. Establish standards for modelling methodologies. Solution Architecture: Provide architectural expertise for evaluating and recommending scalable data solutions. Ensure design patterns support both transactional performance and analytics needs. Support for Digital Programmes: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document data requirements. Evaluate technology options for strategic fit and ensure successful implementation. Work closely with engineering teams to align on data architecture and delivery. Research & Innovation: Monitor emerging trends in data technologies, analytics, and architecture. Test and evaluate new tools and techniques that could benefit the organisation's data strategy. Enterprise Data Architecture: Own and continuously develop enterprise data architecture principles, ensuring they are consistent with the organisation's broader enterprise architecture framework. Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience designing architecture solutions that align with business goals. Ability to manage and support technological change within complex organisations. Deep understanding of contemporary data technologies and architecture patterns. Strong background in data modelling, system design, and data integration. Innovative and pragmatic mindset in bridging business needs and technical capabilities. Self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Knowledge of data architecture frameworks including data mesh, data warehousing, BI, and cloud-based data platforms. Experience working with cloud-native data solutions, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., Azure, Fabric). Strong alignment and facilitation skills, especially across siloed teams. Experience working in Agile delivery environments. Desirable: Experience with enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives. Familiarity with data cataloguing tools and data governance practices. Experience working with external technology vendors or consulting partners. Background in industries such as real estate, property, or financial services. Additional Information The role is hybrid with a primary base in London, requiring an average of 2 days per week in the office (occasionally more depending on business needs).
