Position: Behaviour Mentor
Setting: Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £95-£115 per day
Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a dedicated and confident Behaviour Mentor to join a progressive PRU in Stratford from September. The school works with students excluded from mainstream settings and provides tailored education and intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students on a 1:1 and group basis with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement
Implement behaviour support strategies and contribute to a positive school ethos
Collaborate with teachers and behaviour leads to manage incidents effectively
Build trusting, mentoring relationships with students who may have experienced trauma
Person Specification:
Background in youth work, behaviour mentoring, or PRU/SEMH settings
Resilient, proactive, and able to build rapport quickly
Excellent de-escalation and conflict resolution skills
Passion for working with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people
