The position is commission-based, with a minimum. Room and board are provided, along with acupuncture supplies. Acupuncturists have their own room on board. Flights to and from the ship on your first contract are included.
Position requirements include holding a current valid state license and/or certification by the NCCAOM for U.S. acupuncturists, or equivalent education for international candidates, with approximately 2,000 hours of classroom and clinical study.
Additional requirements include strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple treatment rooms, conduct consultations and treatments efficiently, and excellent communication skills. Fluency in English is required.
Pre-requisites for contracts include a valid passport, eligibility for a U.S. C1/D visa if not authorized to work in the U.S., completion of maritime medical exam, and successful completion of training.
The role involves administering high-quality acupuncture and Chinese medicine treatments, educating guests about Chinese medicine modalities, and providing excellent guest service. Responsibilities include conducting consultations, managing clients, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
